Step 1: Register an account

Go to the official website of MultCloud to create a new account by email. Or, log in with your Google, Facebook, or Apple ID.

Step 2: Add Cloud

Proceed to Add Cloud. Then tap the icon of SugarSync to add your credentials. Next, refer to the on-screen tips to give MultCloud access.

Step 3: Add Email

Similarly, go to Add Email on the left taskbar. Hit the icon of Outlook to add your account.

Step 4: Email Migration

Hit Email Migration on the left sidebar. Select emails from the Gmail you want to move as the source directory. Then choose SugarSync as the target directory.

Step 5: Migration Settings

By hitting Options, you can choose whether to migrate attachments or not. Meanwhile, you have the option to save conversation format and rename file names with certain characters automatically.

Step 6: Migrate Now

By simply hitting Migrate Now, the selected emails can be moved from Outlook to SugarSync directly and seamlessly. When it’s done, you can head to SugarSync to see whether it’s there.

Note: If you want to back up Gmail to SugarSync, simply select emails from Gmail as the source directory.

How to Make SugarSync Email Backup Traditionally

Another way to back up emails to SugarSync is the download-and-upload method. You can first download emails and attachments from the mail service, and then upload those downloaded data to SugarSync.

Step 1: Navigate to Google Takeout and log in with your account.

Step 2: Deselect all at first, then scroll down to tick Gmail. Then tap Next step.

Step 3: Select Send download link via email. And select the Frequency and File type & size, and click Create export.

Step 4: You will receive a .zip folder, simply compress it, and upload the downloaded data to your SugarSync.

If you don’t want to export all Gmail emails, you can use MultCloud to download specific emails to PDF files on your device. This way, you don’t need to uncompress a folder and can easily upload them to the cloud. 

Step 1: Log into your MultCloud on the web.

Step 2: Navigate to Gmail, if you have added it on the left taskbar. Then locate the email you want to download. Select it/them, then tap the Download button.
