User Case: Migrating from Evernote to OneNote
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. I have been looking everywhere online to try and find a way of migrating all of the notes to OneNote. However, it looks as if the designated tool that Microsoft provided has gone end of life as of September 2022. I work in IT support and one of our customers would like to have all of his notes migrated over to OneNote. He has over 13000 notes in Evernote so to do this manually is not going to be feasible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why Backup Evernote to OneNote?
There are many reasons to back up Evernote to OneNote. For example, OneNote can be used for free with many features and integrates with almost all features of Office 365 subscriptions. The free tier of Evernote is less and the paid plans may not suit your pocket. Meanwhile:
- Office Suite: OneNote integrates directly with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Office applications, which is beneficial if you're a frequent Office user.
- Rich Media Support: OneNote supports embedding videos, PDFs, images, and even live content, which might offer more flexibility compared to Evernote.
There is a basic comparison between Evernote and OneNote:
Evernote | OneNote | |
---|---|---|
Available for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and web | ✔ | ✔ |
Sync across all devices | ✔ | 2 devices for Evernote Basic |
Offline access | ✔ | Paid users only |
Unlimited monthly uploads | ✔ | 60 MB/month (Free) |
Save email into notes | ✔ | Paid users |
Note: While OneNote offers many advantages, Evernote excels in advanced search capabilities (e.g., searching within PDFs and images), simplicity for quick note-taking with powerful tagging, and integrations with third-party apps not available in OneNote.
