AnsweredHow to Free Up Space on OneDrive without Deleting Files

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm facing a bit of a dilemma with my OneDrive storage. I have a lot of important files, documents, and photos stored on there, and I've nearly reached my storage limit. I really don't want to delete any of my files, but I need to free up some space. Is there any way to do this without permanently deleting any files?

I've heard about compression or archiving, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Can anyone guide me through the process or suggest any other methods to free up space without losing my files?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I understand your concern. There are indeed ways to free up space on your OneDrive without deleting files. Here are some methods you can try:

1. Compression Before Uploading:

  • Compress large files or folders before uploading to OneDrive to reduce size.
  • Archive older files in ZIP or RAR format to access them when needed but save space.

2. Move Large Files to External Storage:

  • Identify infrequently accessed files and move them to external storage or other cloud services.

Remember to back up important files before trying new methods. Good luck!
