Quick Navigation:
2-way real-time sync over the Internet - is there a more efficient solution than Synology Drive ShareSync?
We have two servers that should have the exact same data on them all the time, which we work off directly and they sync via the Internet. However, it seems very inefficient and at times very slow.
Recently, on the host server, I moved a folder containing 483GB of data from one folder to another. The client-server, rather than recognizing that the folder had been moved and doing the same, instead deleted the folder and then redownloaded all the data afresh, which took weeks literally.
It's also frustrating that there is no way to tell how long it will take for things to sync up and no way to tell it to prioritize certain kinds of files over others.
Are there any better solutions? Or is there a way I can set up the sync to better serve our purposes?
